FortisTCI is pleased to announce the 2023 FortisTCI National Science and Technology Fair Theme: "Empowering minds, inspiring innovation, and advancing science for a brighter future."
Students registered for the National Science Poster Competition should demonstrate their artistic abilities as they translate the fair's theme into a visual masterpiece. Artistic expression is expected and encouraged, and the theme should be at the forefront of entries.
Entries can fall into one of two categories. Creative art allows for conventionally hand-crafted entries. Creative art students should be able to discuss the medium(s) utilized and their creative process. Graphic art allows for computer-generated entries. Graphic art students should be able to explain the software used to create their piece.
Students are allowed to mix mediums to achieve a unique artistic style. Graphic art submissions can combine text, photos, graphics, and more, while creative art submissions can combine paint, textiles, pencils, etc. Poster display size requirements are matte paper sized 16.5" x 21.5" for Creative Art and glossy paper sized no less than 8.5" x 11" for Graphic Art.
Entries will be displayed at the 2023 FortisTCI National Science and Technology Fair held during Education Week at the Gustavus Lightbourne Sports Complex. Entries should be mounted at your designated booth on the evening preceding the first day of the fair on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. These should sit on your table as a board display or an easel (school provided). The National Science Poster Competition will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Thank you for your participation, and we look forward to seeing your entries in March next year. Should you have any questions, feel free to email corpcomm@fortistci.com.
